Create WhatsApp template
POST/message-server/whatsapp/templates
Creates a new WhatsApp template. The template must be approved by Meta before it can be used for sending.
Supported variants:
- Simple text template
- Template with buttons (URL, phone, quick reply)
- Template with image/video/document header
- Template with tracked links in the body
- Template with tracked links in buttons
- AUTHENTICATION template (code with a copy button): no header, body, footer or buttons, only
otpExpirationMinutes
Placeholders in header, body, footer and buttons must be contact fields (such as {firstName}, {lastName}, {companyName}, {city}, or the extra contact fields defined for your account) or {shortLinkT1}–{shortLinkT4}: any other name is rejected with INVALID_PLACEHOLDER.
Each template counts against the whatsapp_templates limit of your subscription: once it is reached, the API answers 429.
